Plant morphology: evergreen trees, fragrant. Bark gray brown, young shoots with four ridges, grayish yellow. Ye Husheng or subopposite, leathery, oblong to oblanceolate, apex mucronate, base production wedge, above green, glossy, from the base three veins; petiolate. Panicles axillary; tepals 6, white; fertile stamens 9, in 3 whorls, Round Filigree basal glands 2, ovary ovate. Berry purplish black, ellipsoid, with shallowly cup-shaped fruit tray. Florescence 6-8 month, fruit period October to the next 2-3 months.
